Mammoth Orthopedic Institute hosts a monthly journal club to critically evaluate recent articles and oldies but goodies in the field of orthopedics. It is an important forum for teaching research methodology, clinical epidemiology and statistics. It is a valuable tool as well as providing opportunities for training in clinical decision making and gaining critical appraisal skills.
Orthopedic Trauma Course
Mammoth Hospital and Mammoth Orthopedic Institute host annually an Orthopedic Trauma Course. We find it an essential refresher to prepare for the oncoming winter season and the subsequent increase in orthopedic trauma cases. It is an opportunity for our surgeons to educate staff, improve techniques, introduce new innovations, improve communication and team work and practice surgical procedures. All of these things improve patient outcomes.
